Nigel Thomas is a dynamic global Architect, Teacher and Team Leader. He recently presented his 21st-century concept KIN: Sustainable Communities to the University of the West Indies and is working in collaboration with Luis Mola (Design Lab) and Ibero University Living Lab) to develop a new sustainable community model in Puebla Mexico.
The dynamic global kinship of architects, sustainable, legal & economic planners along with the research potential of the lbero University are in the midst of creating a new design kinship for affordable housing and smart ecological planning true to the earth, in the form of a new public-private relationship as a counter-movement to the urgent global challenges of the 21st C.
This great collaboration was kindled at the progressive Smart City Expo Latam Congress in Puebla 2017.
The innovative architectural & philosophical KIN sustainable community strategies will engage with new maturity issues of poverty, hunger, infrastructure, disparity/alienation health, education, safety, communication & recreation for empowerment and urban/rural acceleration of the lower and middle-income groups of society.
