Nigel Thomas

Nigel Thomas is a UK citizen and a resident of Trinidad & Tobago and is an extremely versatile Architect with a wealth of global experience in Architecture, Interior Design and Eco-Master Planning/Urban Planning having practiced as an Architect in the Caribbean, Europe, Australasia, The United States and Latin America on a multiplicity of projects.  Nigel is currently working on sustainable communities and humanitarian projects in the Caribbean, including Housing, Educational and Health Facilities, Hospitality, Commercial/Office, Infrastructure and a variety of Renewable Energy Projects.   Underlying the above is a deep and continuous active-learning process wherein design for the future seeks to continually improve codes and standards for buildings and environments.

Nigel is a long standing member of Trinidad & Tobago Institute of Architects (T.T.I.A), Board of Architects Trinidad & Tobago (BoATT).  He has been on the Board of the Airport Authority of T&T for the construction of the new airport.

Responsibilities:

Architectural Design, Project Management, Strategic Planning, establishing programs and Macro Eco-Planning.  He particularly relishes the challenges of interdisciplinary collaboration with a multiplicity of global Design Partners; Architects, Planners, Project Managers and Engineers with the attendant possibilities of active-learning: linking research, academic leadership and technological transfer.  He has worked with many World Class Designers, Engineers and Project Managers including ARUP, HOK, EcoPlan, Outinord (Caribbean Rep.), HKS (Atlanta), L.A.S. Atlanta, Turner Construction amongst others.

Multidisciplinary Qualifications :  Nigel is an alumni of Brighton University( B.A. Hons-Humanities), Georgia Institute of Technology( M.Arch-Architecture) and the University of Sydney Australia( where he pursued his PHD in Architecture).
